Tina M. Shepeard

At a very tender age, Tina experienced the power of words on the human heart.  After she learned to read and write, reading became her great escape from the traumas of her life.  Having lived in the midst of domestic violence, and being suppressed holding the secret of being sexually molested.  There were many years of loneliness that she felt, while assisting her Mother in the care of home and her siblings.  As a young teen, she realized that expressing thoughts and feelings through written words brought peace, comfort, and a measure of happiness to herself and others that she chose to share with, mainly her Mother.  At the age of sixteen, it was writing that played a vital role in comforting her heart after experiencing the death of her father.  This was a very vulnerable time in her life, because what should have been her 'sweet sixteen' collided with the 'heartbreak of bereaving' the loss of a parent.  In spite of those things, she sought solace in the Church, read the Bible and other books on self development/help, and spirituality.  But her greatest comfort came from reading the Bible, praying, and then picking up her pen to write out what was in her heart to God.  Although, the passages may have begun in pain, it always ended in hope and encouragement.

Thus, began the journaling of Words of One Woman...
